Yuta Restaurant & Bar

At Yuta Restaurant, you can indulge in culinary delights all day long. The restaurant is named after a legend in which the indigenous inhabitants called themselves "Yuta," meaning "mountaintop" or "people living high in the mountains." Utah’s cuisine, influenced by regional traditions of open-fire cooking and organic farming methods, is presented in a unique way. The restaurant features a lovely terrace overlooking Alexander Canyon.

Chef Guillermo Tellez, born in Mexico and awarded the Felipe Rojas Lombardi Award for Achievement for Spanish chefs by the James Beard Foundation, leads the culinary program. Tellez has extensive experience in successful restaurants across America and has a passion for organic farming and ethically raised animals.

The Refectory: Dining at the High West Distillery

The Refectory, located on the lodge grounds, is the restaurant of the High West Distillery. Here, you can enjoy delicious dishes with panoramic views of the mountain landscape, complemented by craft whiskeys, handcrafted cocktails, and locally brewed beers. The restaurant is open from Thursday to Saturday for lunch and on Sundays for brunch.

The Lodge at Blue Sky features 46 spacious rooms and suites, designed with high ceilings and large windows that fill the rooms with natural light. Wherever you are, you are always in direct contact with the breathtaking nature outside. The warm earth tones and natural materials, such as limestone and wood, create a calming atmosphere, while the specially designed furniture invites ultimate comfort and relaxation.

Sky Lodge: Sky Rooms and Suites

In the central Sky Lodge, where the reception and Yuta Restaurant are located, you will find the Sky rooms and suites. These rooms offer a serene place to unwind, with easy access to all lodge facilities.

Sky Rooms (9 rooms, 54 m²):

  •  King-size bed or two single beds
  • Open layout with lounge area
  • Private patio
  • Ensuite bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower
  • Located on the second floor with sunrise or sunset views

The Peregrine Suite, situated on the south side of the Sky Lodge, offers supreme luxury with a generous area of 95 m². The suite features an expanded living space with a lounge, a freestanding bathtub, and a covered terrace with spectacular sunset views.

Earth House: Earth Suites and Deluxe Earth Suites

The Earth House, built against the hillside beneath the Sky Lodge, is designed as a natural extension of the landscape. It utilizes locally sourced limestone and has living grass roofs.

Earth Suites (16 suites, 72 m²):

  • Private patio with outdoor fireplace
  • Indoor and outdoor showers
  • Views of Alexander Canyon

Deluxe Earth Suites (6 suites):

  • More spacious than the Earth Suites

Creek Houses: Privacy and Tranquility

The five detached Creek Houses are approximately a four-minute walk from the Sky Lodge and offer a serene environment with views of Alexander Creek.

Two-Bedroom Suite: Luxury and Space

Within the Sky Lodge, there is also a two-bedroom suite spread over two floors.

Weekly, numerous free activities are organized, such as guided hikes, fly-fishing courses, Nordic walking, encounters with the horses at Gracie’s Farm, stargazing, making s'mores by the fire pit, and a shuttle service to the Sky Lounge in Park City.

Child-friendly

The resort is accessible for children. There is a dedicated kids' club; Little Vaquero’s, with daily activities including a visit to the farm. Additionally, children up to and including 9 years old eat for free in the restaurant when dining with their parents.

As already noticed, the lodge proudly blends sustainably into its natural surroundings. Many natural materials from the environment are used in the construction of the lodge, and the products and ingredients used in various aspects of the lodge either come from the local area or are grown on its own farm. This resort is entirely about becoming one with nature.

The lodge has its own foundation; the Saving Gracie’s Foundation. This non-profit organization helps horses that are neglected, sick, or injured for any reason find a new and better home. Be sure to visit Gracie’s Farm to learn about the many initiatives of the lodge and to meet the horses and other animals.

Of course, the lodge also contributes to the usual sustainability initiatives found in leading hotels, such as water and energy conservation, and avoiding single-use plastics.
