Moorea Lagoon Tour
Discover the most beautiful spots in and around the crystal-clear lagoon in 50 shades of blue of Moorea. There is so much to explore both above and below the water. Not only the breathtaking nature, but also the Polynesian culture is fully showcased today.
You cruise in a traditional outrigger canoe through the transparent waters of the lagoon. First, you visit Opunohu Bay, flanked by majestic green mountains. Then, it's time to explore the underwater world. From the canoe, you will see a variety of fish swimming by, but snorkeling allows you to better admire the many beautiful fish in all their colors. You might even see graceful rays or the friendly blacktip shark passing by. The coral here is also stunning. Fresh fruit and water are waiting for you once you are back on board.
Next, you will be taken to a small motu, an idyllic location where you will participate in a cooking workshop. You will learn to prepare the famous ‘poisson cru’. This dish is considered the national dish of French Polynesia and is reminiscent of Peruvian ceviche.
After this delicious lunch, you will receive a demonstration of some typical Polynesian skills. Think of how to braid with natural materials, how and for what medicinal plants are used, or how to properly knot a pareo (Polynesian sarong).
