Whale Watching Expedition
Experience a magical encounter with whales in their natural habitat, in the paradise of Moorea. Every year from August to October, it is possible to observe the mighty giants of the ocean up close in this region.
During this private eco-tour, you will, accompanied by a marine biologist, search for the impressive whale. Other cetaceans and fascinating sea creatures will also be discussed. The animal is the focus during this cruise, and efforts are made to disturb the whale as little as possible. The marine biologist will explain the life and behavior of the whale, and through a hydrophone, you can listen to the sounds of the whale underwater. With some luck, you may encounter a male whale; they can sing so beautifully that it will give you goosebumps.
If conditions are favorable, it is possible to go into the water with snorkeling gear. Of course, under supervision, ensuring this is done safely and responsibly, without disturbing the sea creatures.
The marine biologist conducts research on whales, particularly on the many complex sounds they produce. During this cruise, data will be collected about the whale, which can be used in the research. You will be sailing with a true expert, who will be happy to answer any questions and help you learn as much as possible about these mighty sea creatures.
