Six Senses Laamu

Six Senses Laamu features 96 luxurious Beach Villas and various types of Water Villas. All villas are in harmony with the surroundings and enhance the island's natural beauty, as the entire resort has been sustainably designed in accordance with the Six Senses philosophy, using many natural materials. The interiors are minimalist, creating a perfect relaxing environment. The villas offer plenty of privacy, a pleasant ambiance, great comfort, and are equipped with a private terrace. To be even more connected with nature, there is an outdoor bathroom with an outdoor shower. Some villas, such as the Ocean Water Villa and all Beach Villas, have a private pool. Each villa is also assigned a personal butler, known as a G.E.M – Guest Experience Maker. A bicycle is provided at each villa, allowing you to explore the island on two wheels.

The culinary experience at Six Senses Laamu is a true treat for your taste buds. The resort offers various restaurants and bars where you can enjoy delicious dishes from international and local cuisine. Fresh, local, and 'garden-fresh' ingredients are used to create flavorful and healthy meals that meet your culinary expectations. You can choose from Japanese, Mediterranean, and International cuisine.

Built on stilts, you will find a stunning facility center over the water, featuring 2 restaurants and a bar, a glass tower where you can participate in wine tastings, and an ice cream & chocolate kiosk where you can enjoy free ice cream daily. Additionally, there are 2 other restaurants and bars on the island.

Be sure to visit the award-winning Six Senses Spa, where you can indulge in the renowned and exceptional Six Senses Spa treatments. The treatment rooms are located in beautiful spaces that resemble bird nests and are scattered throughout the spa garden, again to preserve the natural character of the resort. From the relaxation area, you can enjoy panoramic views of the ocean. You can also participate in yoga and meditation sessions to fully unwind. 

Six Senses Laamu is an exclusive dive resort located in the Laamu Atoll. A unique advantage is that you will almost be the only one in this area when exploring the underwater world, which is a rarity for a world-class dive destination, especially at a location where manta rays can be admired year-round.

The dive center, Deep Blue Divers, is certified as a PADI 5* dive center. The team consists of multilingual professional dive instructors who offer a wide range of PADI courses, from Discover Scuba Diving to Divemaster. Although the PADI courses are primarily aimed at adults, they also welcome young people aged 10 and older. Children under 10 can participate in special dive programs for kids and teenagers.

Tropicsurf at Six Senses Laamu is the only surf resort in the Laamu Atoll and offers guided surf lessons throughout the year. Whether you are a first-time surfer or an experienced professional, there are various waves around the resort suitable for all levels.

In addition, there are plenty of water sports activities and water excursions available to make your stay even more varied and adventurous.

The resort offers a fully equipped fitness center and yoga pavilion, both with panoramic views over the lagoon. A fun activity for the whole family is a movie night under the stars, which is available several times a week. Additionally, there are numerous sports, games, and excursions to enjoy. Or, participate in cooking and/or cocktail classes.

Sunset & Dolphin Cruise

A beautiful trip at sunset. As the sky turns red and orange from the setting sun, you will see dolphins jumping and performing tricks beside the boat. On board, canapés and prosecco are served, along with juice and cookies for children.

The trip lasts 1 hour and is conducted in the company of other resort guests. A private cruise with your own group is also an option.

Surfing with Tropicsurf

The Tropicsurf at Six Senses Laamu is the only surf resort on the Laamu Atoll and offers guidance for surf lessons year-round. Whether it’s your first time or you are an experienced professional, there is a wide variety of waves around the resort suitable for all levels.

Private Island Experience

Your private island is a 40-minute speedboat ride away! The chefs have prepared your picnic basket, including a light lunch, dessert, and a bottle of wine, which you can enjoy in the shade of coconut trees. Bring your snorkeling gear to explore the surrounding lagoon or simply relax on comfortable beach loungers. Suitable for families or as a romantic getaway. A true Robinson Crusoe adventure.

The trip lasts 6 hours and includes the picnic.

Dhoni Sailing Cruise

A fantastic way to start a day in paradise. During this traditional Dhoni cruise, you can enjoy an unforgettable experience of a tropical sunrise. You will receive a basket with freshly baked sweets and prosecco. The trip lasts 1 hour.

You can also choose to do this at sunset.

The Den Kids Club is open to all children aged 3 to 11 years. Babysitting is also available for an additional fee. 

Sustainability is at the heart of Six Senses Laamu. There is a great deal of respect for the guests as well as for the local communities and the ecosystems surrounding the atoll and the resort. You are warmly invited to participate in a sustainability tour, where you can see innovation and experiments in action at the Earth Lab, the center for self-sufficiency and waste reduction. The resort aims to produce more on-site and to reduce emissions from long-distance transportation.
