About Aarunya Nature Resort
Aarunya, meaning "the first rays of the sun" in ancient Sanskrit, is an award-winning boutique hotel in Sri Lanka, situated on a ten-hectare estate. The resort offers exclusive private pool villas that sit high above the surrounding spice and tea gardens. For ultimate relaxation, the spa offers traditional Sri Lankan treatments, modern wellness therapies, and Ayurvedic treatments. There are also Balinese massages, guided meditation, and private yoga and Pilates sessions available. You can also make use of the fitness room to stay in good shape.

Aarunya Nature Resort in Kandy is committed to sustainability through various initiatives.
No trees were cut down during the development of the resort, and local materials and artisans were used to preserve the natural environment.
Solar panels have also been installed with the goal of operating mostly off-grid by 2030 through solar energy, battery storage, and biogas for cooking purposes.
The kitchen prefers local suppliers, including farmers from the village, and utilizes its own rice fields, coconut palms, and vegetable gardens. Meat, fish, and seafood are organic and ethically sourced.
