During this special journey, you will discover Sri Lanka's most iconic sights. From the vibrant fishing village of Negombo to the majestic Lion's Rock of Sigiriya, from the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa to the mystical cave temples of Dambulla. In Kandy, you will experience the magic of traditional fire dancers and explore the picturesque tea fields of Nuwara Eliya. Day 1 - Arrival in Colombo – Negombo
Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Colombo Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Negombo. This charming fishing village, surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and extensive mangrove forests, is the perfect place to relax after your journey. You can choose to unwind at the beach for the rest of the day or explore Negombo with an optional city tour. Visit the bustling fish market, take a boat trip through the scenic canals, or discover the rich nature of the mangrove area.
Day 2 - Negombo – Sigiriya
After an early breakfast, you leave the coast behind and travel to the cultural heart of Sri Lanka. In the afternoon, you arrive in Sigiriya, where you have the chance to climb the iconic Lion's Rock. This ancient fortress, once the refuge of King Kasyapa, offers breathtaking views over the lush landscape. Once at the top, you are rewarded with the ruins of an ancient palace and beautiful frescoes.
Day 3 - Sigiriya
Today, you have complete freedom to fill your day as you wish. Relax by the pool or explore the surroundings further with an optional excursion to Anuradhapura, the oldest city in Sri Lanka, or Mihintale, the sacred mountain where Buddhism was introduced. Both excursions offer a fascinating insight into the island's rich history.
Day 4 - Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya
Start the day with an optional hot air balloon ride over Kandalama, a unique way to admire the landscape from above. Later in the morning, you will visit Polonnaruwa, the ancient royal city that once lay hidden in the jungle. Walk or bike past the impressive ruins and temples, immersing yourself in a bygone era. In the afternoon, if you wish, you can go on a safari in Minneriya, Kaudulla, or the Eco National Park, where herds of elephants roam through the landscape.
Day 5 - Sigiriya – Dambulla – Kandy
On the way to Kandy, you will make a stop at the famous Dambulla Cave Temples. These extraordinary temples, adorned with centuries-old murals and Buddha statues, exude a serene atmosphere. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Kandy, where you can attend a vibrant cultural show in the evening.
Day 6 – Kandy – Hatton
The day begins with a visit to the sacred Temple of the Tooth, one of the most important Buddhist holy sites in the world. Afterwards, you will travel through a picturesque mountain landscape to Hatton, known for its tea plantations. Here, you will enjoy a late lunch at a charming accommodation along the famous tea route.

Today is all about tea! During an exclusive private tour of the tea plantations and the tea factory, you will learn everything about the production of Sri Lanka’s world-famous tea. After breakfast, you will travel to the historic Galle, where you will have the afternoon free. Relax at your hotel or take an optional city tour through this charming fortified town. Stroll through the narrow streets of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Galle Fort, admire the colonial architecture, and discover cozy boutiques and trendy cafés.

A day to enjoy the sun, sea, and beach! Or opt for an optional excursion to Mirissa, where you might have the chance to spot dolphins and whales (depending on the season).
