Hotel Information
Accommodation
The 15 luxurious tents at the Four Seasons Tented Camp are spread across the hilly landscape to provide the ultimate sense of privacy and tranquility. A narrow stone path lined with bamboo leads to the various communal facilities, and the tents are named after local hill tribes, flora, and fauna.
Although each tent offers the same amenities, they are all uniquely decorated. For example, there is the Golden Triangle Tent, the Bamboo Tent, and the Mekong Tent. They feature a king-size bed, a standalone handcrafted bathtub, a beautiful outdoor shower, and a spacious terrace with a comfortable seating area. Some tents also offer a wooden Jacuzzi on the deck.
If you are traveling with a larger group, you might also consider staying at the Explorer’s Lodge. The lodge has two bedrooms, a spacious deck, and a stunning pool. The only risk here is that you may never want to leave the lodge.
Swimming pool
Cool off in the swimming pool overlooking the Ruak River while the sounds of the surrounding nature play in the background.
Child-friendly
Children under the age of 10 are not allowed in the hotel.
Restaurants
A stay at the Four Seasons Tented Camp includes three excellent meals per day and drinks, including house wines and spirits. In the evenings, you can enjoy aperitifs and delightful wine and cheese tastings. The restaurant Nong Yao is located in the central pavilion, where every other day a Western menu is alternated with regional specialties. The adjacent wine cellar offers a very impressive collection of wines, and you will be treated to a beautiful selection during the tasting in the evening. The cozy Burma Bar is an open-air lounge where guests love to relax at sunset.
Wellness and Spa
The spa is designed to be in harmony with the surrounding jungle and offers two spacious open-air pavilions. Traditional therapies and treatments are available, utilizing ingredients sourced from the local nature. The signature Ruak Bamboo Experience is highly recommended. After a foot bath with kaffir lime, local herbal oils and smooth bamboo sticks are used during a full-body massage focused on deeply rooted muscle tension. The result is complete relaxation.
Sustainability
The resort is one of the founders of the Golden Triangle Elephant Foundation, primarily established to provide a safe, healthy, and as natural as possible environment for rescued elephants. Under the careful watch of the mahouts who are responsible for their daily care and guidance, you can get to know these gentle giants and participate in their daily programs.
