Azerai La Residence
The Azerai La Residence is peacefully situated on the outskirts of Hue's city center on a large estate, right alongside the Perfume River. This stunning colonial Art Deco building is indeed a historic structure. It was built in 1930 to serve as the residence for the French governor and has been carefully renovated at the beginning of this century. In 2005, the two wings were added, housing most of the hotel rooms.
You arrive at the stylish main building, where the lobby with the reception desk and lounge bar are located. Photos of old Hue take you back in time. Several suites are housed in the original suites on the first floor of this building and are highly recommended. Here, you can still breathe in the grandeur of bygone days, combined with views of the garden, the swimming pool, and the river in the background.
Opt for a suite in the former governor's residence with a lovely terrace, so you can enjoy a sunset over the river and imagine what it must have been like to live here. After a day of exploring Hue, it’s wonderful to return home here. Relax on a lounge chair by the spacious pool or indulge in a treatment at the excellent spa. And although Hue has a wide variety of restaurants, dining at the Azerai’s outstanding brasserie is not to be missed.

Your Stay
The rooms in this hotel are not very large. We therefore recommend the suites, starting with the Colonial Junior Suite. They feature colonial decor, with a canopy bed, partly wooden flooring and partly terrazzo tiles, and a cozy sitting area. French doors lead to a spacious terrace with seating.
Would you like something even more luxurious? Then opt for the Colonial Suite, which is guaranteed to be located in the original governor's house. The view from the spacious veranda is also better, overlooking the garden with the Perfume River in the background. The Perfume River Suite is more spacious and offers an equally stunning view from the terrace, but this suite is located in the newer wings.
If you want the very best, choose the Resident Suite. You will have the entire top floor of the former governor's house at your disposal. The suite is completely surrounded by a terrace, providing you with a fantastic 360-degree view.

The hotel has 122 rooms and suites. Most rooms are located in the wings of the resort. The Superior rooms are only 26 m², and the Deluxe rooms are 30 m². All have a balcony with views ranging from cityscape, garden views to river views. The Deluxe Colonial room is the only room located in the historic building at the back. This room has no balcony, and from the large windows, it offers a view of the city.
The suites are the more spacious rooms. The Colonial Junior Suite is 46 m² with a large balcony. This suite is located in the historic building or in the wings. The suite features a wooden floor combined with terrazzo tiles, a luxurious king-size canopy bed, and a seating area with a sofa. It also includes a TV, Wi-Fi, and a minibar. The bathroom is on the smaller side and has a bath/shower combination. The Colonial Suite is located in the historic building and has a spacious balcony overlooking the garden and the Perfume River behind. This suite is also 46 m², with a wooden floor combined with terrazzo tiles, a king-size bed, and a seating area with a sofa. The bathroom is larger, featuring a freestanding bath, separate shower, and double sink.
The Perfume River Suite is situated at the end of the new wings, making the suite closer to the Perfume River. From the spacious terrace, you have a stunning view over the river. The suite is 55 m², offering a larger sitting area and a more spacious bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate shower. Lastly, there is the special Resident Suite, which spans the entire top floor of the old governor's house. The enormous veranda runs all around the room, providing a 360-degree view. The suite is 72 m² and features a canopy bed, a spacious sitting area, and a large bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate shower.

Le Parfum is the restaurant of this hotel, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu features Vietnamese and Western dishes. You can dine indoors or enjoy the wonderful outdoors on the terrace with a view of the Parfum River.
Le Gouverneur Bar is located next to the lobby. The bar is open all day. In the morning, you can enjoy a good cup of coffee; in the afternoon, a refreshing soft drink; and in the evening, wind down with a delicious cocktail, beer, glass of wine, or liqueur.

Le Spa at La Residence is an award-winning spa. The spa is spacious and features 6 stylish treatment rooms, two of which are for couples. There is an extensive spa menu, including some treatments specially designed for Azerai.
