Luxury Room

Although the Luxury Room, with an area of 27m², is the smallest accommodation at Bushmans Kloof, you will lack nothing here for the most comfortable stay possible. The room is equipped with a delightful double bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a private patio with views over the resort's gardens and the pool.

Deluxe Room

The Deluxe Room offers more living space with 57m², including a beautiful and spacious sitting area. Some Deluxe Rooms feature a fireplace, providing a pleasant luxury during winter evenings. All rooms are individually decorated with warm, classic accents that create a homely atmosphere.

The Niven Family Deluxe Room is suitable for families. This room consists of two bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. Both the family room and the regular Deluxe Room have their own terrace overlooking the resort's gardens.

Paterson Suite

The Paterson Suite (approximately 71m²) is located in the old manor house dating from 1843. In this warmly and tastefully decorated suite, you will feel transported back in time with its classic details. In the spacious living room, enjoy a delicious South African wine by the fireplace, while the comfortable bed invites a good night's sleep. The suite also features a luxurious bathroom with a Victorian bathtub. From the private terrace, enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and the river.

Riverside Supreme Suite

In the separately located Riverside Supreme Suite (approximately 68m²), you can enjoy a first-class view over the bubbling Boontjies River from your own infinity pool. Here, you experience luxury in its purest form, with complete privacy and tranquility, as well as extensive facilities including an outdoor shower, spacious terrace, and a lounge area with a fireplace. The suite has a chic and classic appearance, using earthy tones and natural materials.

Koro Lodge

The Koro Lodge is situated against the hill in a quiet part of the nature reserve. Here, the staff will ensure that nothing is lacking during your stay at the lodge. The private chef prepares the tastiest meals, and the private guide assists in organizing activities included with your stay.

The villa features two

The seasonal and fresh products served to you mostly come from the resort’s own vegetable gardens or from the native Fynbos. From the world-famous endemic Rooibos to wild herbs. The Homestead forms the heart of the resort where everyone gathers to enjoy a delicious brunch on the al fresco terrace, exciting travel stories at the bar, or to relax in the lounge with the extensive private art collection. On winter days, the 'dining room' provides an elegant setting for dinner.

At Embers, you will experience an unforgettable evening under the magnificent starry sky. Embers boasts a magical location in a natural sandstone amphitheater with views across the valley. Illuminated by campfire and candlelight, dinner is served in the form of a South African Braai (barbecue) with superb grilled dishes.

Another unique dining experience is the rustic Kadoro, located in a former shepherd’s house in a hidden spot within the reserve. The perfect choice for a romantic dinner for two or an intimate private dinner with a small group.

At Makana, which means feast, you can enjoy a traditional high tea or a delicious brunch in the cozy setting of an enclosed terrace with a fireplace overlooking the river. Makana celebrates the rich traditions and history of the San culture from morning till evening with wonderful meals.

Private dinners can also be organized at various locations upon request, including at the 'River Boma' by the Boontjies River or a picnic right in the native gardens of the reserve.

At Bushmans Kloof, you can enjoy the luxury of no less than four swimming pools, providing refreshing relief on warm summer days. For cooler days, there is the outdoor pool at The Homestead, located near the spa, which is heated and the perfect choice.

Bushmans Kloof has a small but lovely fitness room where you can maintain your fitness while traveling. The fitness room is located next to the Homestead.

At Bushmans Kloof, you will definitely not get bored; there is so much to experience in and around the resort! The vast reserve is perfect for exploring independently, whether on foot or by bicycle. Several cycling and walking routes are mapped out across the terrain, varying in difficulty and length. You can also join a guided tour and, for example, go in search of the most beautiful spots with wildlife by 4WD. You can take a refreshing dip in one of the lakes or rivers within the reserve, or explore by canoe. The waters of the reserve are also very suitable for fly fishing.

Bushmans Kloof boasts an award-winning wine cellar where daily tours and wine tastings are organized. And as the sun sets, a stunning night sky unfolds above the landscape, which a guide will gladly tell you more about during stargazing.

Transport yourself back in time with stories about the 'Bushman', or Khoisan people, after whom Bushmans Kloof is named. Around 120,000 years ago, the surrounding mountains were the habitat of the Khoisan tribe. The ancient rock paintings created by the Bushmen over the centuries can still be admired in the rocks. Your guide will share everything about this remarkable indigenous people. At the Bushmans Heritage Center, you will find a special collection of artworks, jewelry, and musical instruments from the time of the Bushmen.

The protection of the fragile nature reserve of the Cederberg and its rich flora and fauna is of great importance to Bushmans Kloof.
