About The Silo

The Silo in Cape Town, located in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, offers an exclusive and extraordinary blend of iconic architecture, vibrant design, and contemporary African art. This former grain silo, directly above the 'Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa,' has been transformed into an architectural masterpiece by renowned British designer Thomas Heatherwick.

During the day, the glass spheres on the exterior shimmer like diamonds, while in the evening they light up the harbor of Table Bay like a large lantern. Inside the hotel, designer Liz Biden takes the lead, combining industrial architecture with luxurious furnishings featuring a mix of styles and bold color combinations. The result is a unique and iconic hotel that adorns Cape Town's skyline. The Silo features a spa and a rooftop pool. It is a beacon of sophistication within the historic grain silo complex, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Table Mountain, the harbor, and the city.
