What could be more delightful than exploring a rural, naturally rich environment by bike? And if the landscape isn't as flat as in the Netherlands, it's even easier nowadays with an e-bike.
You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to a small village south of Ubud: the village of Mambal. This area is known for its agriculture, and in this village, they are very involved in organic farming and developing organic alternatives for fertilizers and pesticides.
Here, you will hop on your e-bike to enjoy a beautiful ride through the countryside. Together with a local English-speaking guide, you will cycle through small, picturesque villages and see how the unique Subak irrigation system works along the way. This is a typical Balinese water distribution system used for watering the rice fields. Enjoy the rustic and lush green landscape and watch farmers working in the rice paddies. Then, you will cycle past a dam or a waterfall, making a stop at the larger Ayung River.
After this wonderful bike ride, you will enjoy a delicious traditional Balinese lunch in an authentic Balinese building. Unfortunately, it will then be time to be driven back to your hotel.
