At Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge, the rooms and suites are spread around the main building, each with a unique decor that reflects the diversity of Mauritian culture and the surrounding nature. The lodge offers 20 accommodations, consisting of 3 standard rooms and 17 suites, some of which feature a private pool and an exceptional view of the ocean and the surrounding mountains.

Each room and suite opens onto a private terrace overlooking the lush greenery, designed to awaken the senses and create awareness of the world around us. The diversity in decor is a source of discovery and wonder, utilizing local and Indian fabrics, worldly objects, local paintings, and vintage photographs. At the restaurant of Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge, the senses are stimulated by the authentic flavors of Mauritius. The head chef invites you to taste dishes prepared with fresh Mauritian ingredients, tropical fruits, and locally grown vegetables, cooked 'couma la kuisine d'antan' – just like in the old kitchen. Some of the vegetables are even cultivated on the lodge grounds. Le Morne Beach

You are about 10 to 15 minutes' drive from the island’s most beautiful beaches (Le Morne and Baie du Cap) and the small coastal towns of Black River and La Gaulette. You can enjoy a scenic bike ride through Chamarel to Le Morne beach, but there is also a shuttle transfer to and from the beach twice a day.
