Doubtful Sound

You will need to travel a bit longer to get there, as there are no roads leading to it. If you travel by land, you will first take a boat trip across Lake Manapouri, followed by a drive over Wilmot Pass. But then, you will have truly experienced something special. The scenery of Doubtful Sound is as breathtaking as Milford Sound, but even more tranquil. Additionally, it is home to more marine animals, such as dolphins, seals, penguins, and occasionally even whales. Due to its remote location, visits to this fjord are usually accompanied by an overnight stay aboard the ship. How extraordinary is it to sleep in such a magical landscape and wake up surrounded by so much nature? If you have less time, it is also possible to admire this scenery from above during a relaxed scenic flight.
