Day by Day

Day 1 - Arrival in Cape Town

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, your driver will be waiting for you and will then transfer you in a luxurious car to Ellerman House. At sunset, you can enjoy the complimentary cocktails and snacks served daily on the central terrace of Ellerman House.

Located at the point where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, nestled against the slopes of the famous Table Mountain and the waters of Table Bay, Cape Town is distinguished by its stunning location. While some cities excel in culture, nightlife, a cosmopolitan atmosphere, and remarkable architecture, others are renowned for their breathtaking landscapes and natural wonders, Cape Town has it all. The city boasts a vibrant harbor, internationally acclaimed beaches, leading vineyards, and a mountainous environment rich in diverse flora and fauna. This is how Cape Town continues to enchant visitors time and again.

Day 2 - Cape Town

Today, you will discover the beauty of Cape Town and Table Mountain during a private city tour. Your Fast Track Cable Car & Table Mountain experience allows you to skip the queue at the lower cable car station, giving you more time to enjoy the breathtaking views from the top. Take your time to walk around the summit and gain a better perspective of the city before heading back down.

Your next stop is at Truth Coffee. Founded by David Donde, a pioneer in specialty and artisanal roasted coffee in Cape Town, Truth Coffee's mission is to produce the best coffee for South African consumers. It works; Truth Coffee has been recognized multiple times as the best in the world.

After your coffee break, you will be taken on a panoramic orientation drive through the Mother City to see the key sights. Learn about the world-famous attractions, heritage sites, and architectural marvels of Cape Town.

Your tour continues to Bo-Kaap, the original Muslim community of Cape Town and an area renowned for its picturesque, colorful houses and cobbled streets. Explore on foot and take some photos before stopping at a Cape Malay family’s house to sample some Cape Malay dishes.

The Constantia Valley, just a 15-minute drive from the city, boasts a winemaking history dating back to 1685, eight award-winning vineyards, and numerous fine restaurants. You will enjoy a light lunch and wine tasting at Constantia Glen, followed by a visit to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Kirstenbosch is renowned as Africa’s most beautiful garden and one of the world's finest, set against the magnificent backdrop of the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3 - Cape Town

During this optional private tour today, you have the opportunity to discover the beauty of the Cape Peninsula. One of the optional activities is a 2-hour maritime adventure with Shark Warrior. Guided by experienced sea kayak guides, you can explore the waterways and hidden coves of False Bay in a single- or double-seat Fluid kayak, without needing any paddling experience. Close to Boulders Beach, there is a good chance you will see African penguins.

If the weather does not cooperate, instead of the kayak trip, we offer a walk with the penguins, guided by a naturalist from Shark Warriors.

The African penguin colony at Boulders Beach, established in 1983, is a fascinating story of urban colonization. The species, now threatened, has remarkably adapted to life in Simon’s Town. Despite the challenges, the penguins remain a joy to observe.

The Cape of Good Hope National Park, part of the Table Mountain World Heritage Site, encompasses 7,750 hectares of rich flora and fauna. You can climb to the lighthouse and enjoy the view from the southwestern tip of Africa.

For lunch, you can enjoy a fish braai prepared by Nicky Gibbs at her Sea Cottage in Noordhoek. Nicky, with worldwide experience, serves sustainably sourced seafood with a mix of global flavors, surrounded by the natural fynbos.

After lunch, a ride is planned from Noordhoek to Maiden’s Cove in a vintage sidecar. This unique experience offers stunning views along Chapman’s Peak and the Atlantic coast. Your driver will handle the ride so you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

Day 4 - Cape Town - Franschhoek

After breakfast, you will check out and depart by luxury car to Franschhoek.

This peaceful rural retreat is located in the Cape Winelands and is one of South Africa's oldest towns. The village, known as Franschhoek, meaning 'French Corner,' was originally founded by French Huguenots. The fertile valley of Franschhoek is rich in heritage, as reflected in the fascinating Huguenot Memorial Museum and the well-preserved Cape Dutch architecture that adorns much of the town. Thanks to its proximity to Cape Town, Franschhoek is an ideal location for pleasant day trips. Visitors can explore the many top-class wine estates and excellent restaurants, or take a walk through the picturesque boutiques along the tree-lined lanes of the town.

Day 5 - Franschhoek

Today, you can optionally choose the following program.
After breakfast, you will be picked up for a private tour through the wine regions of Stellenbosch.

Wine tasting at Delaire Graff Estate
Against the backdrop of vast mountains and vineyards, the Delaire Graff Estate stands as a prominent destination in the Cape Winelands.

Day 6 - Franschhoek - Hermanus

After a leisurely breakfast, you will be picked up by your chauffeur and taken in a comfortable car to Hermanus, one of the best places in the world for whale watching. The whale season runs from June to November or early December, but certain whale species, such as the Bryde's whale, can be seen year-round off the coast of Hermanus. Along the coast, there is an 11-kilometer cliff path offering excellent opportunities to observe whales in Walker Bay.

Hermanus, located just 140 kilometers from Cape Town, has evolved from a small seaside village into a world-famous destination for whale spotting. The town is also known for its natural beauty, expansive unspoiled beaches, and a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, and bars. Today, Hermanus offers a broad range of activities, from active to relaxing options. Visitors can explore the Old Harbour Museum, which includes the old fishing village, the historic harbor, and the Whale House Museum, walk through the nearby Fernkloof Nature Reserve, or sample wines along the renowned Hermanus Wine Route.

Day 7 - Hermanus

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your private driver, after which you will depart for a whale-watching boat excursion (this excursion is not private).

Every year, southern right whales migrate from their cold food areas near Antarctica to warmer waters, arriving in South Africa in June. Here, they can be seen mating, calving, and raising their young, often resulting in impressive displays of their strength and agility in the water.

Protected in South African waters since 1935, southern right whales have become a major tourist attraction along the coast. They spend up to five months each year in the sheltered bays of the Cape coast.

Enjoy a walk along the famous Cliff Path and explore Hermanus.
Hermanus, renowned worldwide as one of the best places to observe whales from land, combines the modern amenities of a holiday destination with the charm of a fishing village. The popular seaside town is nestled between mountains and the sea, with beaches like Voëlklip and Grotto Beach overlooking Walker Bay. The Old Harbour Museum, which includes an old fishing village and the Whale House Museum with educational exhibits and a whale skeleton, is also worth a visit. Hermanus also features a lively main street with shops, a coastal path, and numerous restaurants.

Optional:

Visit the stunning Hemel-en-Aarde Valley for a tasting at Creation Wines.

The Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, known for its picturesque scenery and wines, is home to Creation Wines. This winery is renowned for its hospitality, excellent wine and food pairings, and the use of high-quality Riedel glassware. There is even a special menu for young adults and children, making it a suitable outing for the whole family.

Day 8 - Hermanus - Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

After breakfast, you will check out. Your private chauffeur will take you in a comfortable car via Clarence Drive to Cape Town International Airport. Clarence Drive is a stunning route that runs along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

You will take a scheduled flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport near Nelspruit. Upon arrival at KMIA, you will be met by a representative of Federal Airlines, after which you will take a shuttle flight to the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park.

Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

Visitors can enjoy nature drives, dine under the stars, participate in guided bush walks, and stay in luxurious safari lodges.
