Your Stay
No two villas are exactly alike, as they were adapted to the landscape during construction. If a tree or rock was in the way, they built around it to preserve as much of the original nature as possible. The villas are sleek and minimalist in design, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, sturdy furniture made from recycled hardwood, and stone floors. All villas feature a private infinity pool and offer views of the lush tropical greenery or the sea. In the latter case, you can enjoy stunning color palettes during sunset in the evening.

Restaurants
Enjoy a stunning view at the semi-open KOWHAI Restaurant during your à la carte breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The dishes are prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients, locally sourced and partly from our own organic garden.
Next to the restaurant and by the pool, you will find the Aroha Bar. Here, you can enjoy refreshing drinks and snacks all day long.
Wellness and Spa
Complete your relaxing stay with a visit to the Maua Spa. You can choose from soothing massages, scrubs, wraps, as well as more extensive spa packages. You can also participate in yoga classes or Pilates here.
The resort also offers a fitness room to maintain your fitness level if desired.
Swimming pool
Start your day with a swim in the infinity pool, surrounded by a deck with sunbeds. Take a seat on a sunbed and enjoy the view of the jungle, the bay, and Mount Agung. There is also a separate children's pool.
Activities
The resort organizes a variety of activities on different days of the week. Enjoy a Balinese dance, live acoustic music in the restaurant, or a 'rindik' performance during breakfast on Sunday. 'Rindik' is a musical instrument made from bamboo that produces soothing tones. Learn how to make a sarong, discover the art of weaving coconut leaves, or explore more about the Balinese offerings that you often see on the streets.
You can also book excursions to explore Nusa Penida. You might go paragliding over the island or take a boat trip at sunrise or sunset. Alternatively, choose a private speedboat excursion and create your own itinerary for the day. Of course, a snorkeling trip is also available.
Sustainability
Maua Nusa Penida aims to create a luxurious experience while simultaneously reducing its ecological footprint. One of the most significant projects is their own organic vegetable garden, where fresh vegetables and herbs are grown for use in the resort's restaurant. They also have their own beehives, with the honey used within the resort. Surplus food is transformed into compost, which is then used in the garden.
Furthermore, the furniture in the resort is made from recycled materials, and the resort features green roofs. Used water is recycled, and paper and plastic usage have been minimized.
