Plataran Bromo

There are three 'House Resorts', each containing 4 Deluxe, 4 Deluxe Family, and 2 Deluxe Attic rooms. Each 'house' has all rooms with access to a shared living room. The Deluxe room is 30 m² and features a king-size bed, private terrace or balcony, and an en-suite bathroom. The Deluxe Family is the same size, has a balcony, and includes a king-size bed with a single bed above, acting as a bunk bed. The Deluxe Attic is slightly larger and has three single beds but no balcony. The en-suite bathrooms have a shower.

For more style and comfort, you can stay in a suite in the separate Suites wing. The Suite is 60 m² and offers a stylish, sleek interior design and a balcony with sweeping views of the hilly landscape. The bathroom features a freestanding bathtub, a separate shower, and double sinks. The Presidential Suite, at 132 m², is twice as spacious and includes a separate living room with a dining table.

If you are traveling with your family or friends, you can book the Founder’s Home. The founders of Plataran designed and modernized this house themselves, using warm, earthy colors. You will have a complete house to yourself, with 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a walk-in closet, an elegant living and dining room with a kitchenette, a terrace, and a small pool.

The reason for your stay at Plataran Bromo is the Bromo volcano, and you can book several excursions to the volcano. The Tengger Caldera Wonders is the must-do excursion. However, you can also opt for the Sacred Bromo tour, which offers insight into the life, culture, and traditions of the Tengger people who have lived here for hundreds of years. There are several cooking workshops available, or you can explore the countryside and local villages, or even book a romantic dinner. Below are two examples of extraordinary experiences.

Tengger Caldera Wonders

This private excursion is perfect if you want to experience the full Bromo volcano adventure. The journey begins very early with witnessing the sunrise over the Bromo volcano from Penanjakan Peak. As the sun continues its ascent, you descend to the savannah. An idyllic setting for a picnic breakfast, surrounded by the pure beauty of the natural landscape. With a satisfied stomach, you continue the trip with a walk to the crater of the Bromo volcano. The morning concludes with a visit to the Poten Temple.

Vintage Campervan Picnic

Make your lunch or dinner truly special today. At a unique location, a campervan picnic will be prepared for you, featuring a delicious BBQ lunch or dinner.

The hotel's all-day dining restaurant is the Syailendra Venue and Dining. This rustic restaurant, designed like an alpine lodge, offers an eclectic menu with international, Indonesian, and Asian dishes. For lunch and dinner, you can visit the atmospheric Teras Bromo, with a magnificent view over the hilly landscape. Here, you will find Indonesian-Asian comfort food, with fresh local ingredients at the heart of the offerings.

For a coffee/tea, snack, an alcoholic drink, or a good conversation, you can head to the Mahameru Lounge & Bar. With its fantastic view over Plataran Hill and the surrounding countryside, it is hard to leave this bar. Alternatively, visit the Kinandari Lounge & Bar, especially popular at sunset.

The Padma Spa is located on top of the hill with panoramic views over the valley. There are two treatment rooms, both suitable for couples. After a trek to the Bromo crater or exploring the countryside, there is nothing more delightful than having your muscles thoroughly relaxed with a massage here.
