Today, you are flying from Amsterdam Schiphol to Mauritius.

After arriving in Mauritius, you will pick up your rental car and drive approximately an hour and 15 minutes through the inland to Le Morne in southwest Mauritius. Here, you will stay the first three nights of this trip in a wonderful hotel. In the coming days, you can enjoy swaying palms, turquoise waters, and all the delights that Mauritius as a beach destination has to offer. You have a private car at your disposal, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.

In addition to enjoying everything the resort has to offer, you can also explore the waters of Mauritius by luxury charter yacht and indulge in an exclusive dolphin and snorkelling experience.

You also have the unique opportunity to book a spectacular helicopter flight over the island. From the air, you can enjoy a mesmerizing display of turquoise blue oceans, interspersed with the lush green landscape of the island. Today, you will take a two-hour drive northwest of Mauritius. Along the way, you can stop in the capital city, Port Louis. This vibrant capital is located in the northwest of the island and is a bustling hub of cultural diversity. The city offers a fascinating mix of cultures, where you can visit a mosque, a Chinese pagoda, and a Roman Catholic church all in one day. Add to that the dynamic market, captivating museums, and delicious local dishes, and you have every reason to leave the beach behind for an exploration of Port Louis.

Begin your visit at the Central Market of Port Louis, where you can mingle with the locals. Discover stalls full of fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, meat, and fish, or find a unique souvenir. Continue to Place d’Armes and walk through to Caudan Waterfront, the marina and commercial heart of the city. This area is rich in shops and famous for its street lined with colorful hanging umbrellas, surrounded by cozy terraces. The cultural diversity of Port Louis is also reflected in its gastronomy. Whether you are craving Asian cuisine in Chinatown, Indian or Arab specialties, Port Louis offers culinary experiences for every taste.
