Etosha Highlands Lodge

The lodge features 15 spacious chalets (75m²) or 3 family chalets, each carefully designed to seamlessly blend into the natural surroundings. With 75m² of living space, these chalets offer an oasis of tranquility and privacy, strategically positioned so you have no view of your neighbors and can enjoy an undisturbed view of the expansive savannah.

Each chalet is equipped with large glass sliding doors opening onto your own terrace, the perfect spot to relax with a good book, surrounded by the singing of birds and the gentle roars of zebras in the distance. The shade of the mopane trees provides a cool place to peacefully take in the beauty of your environment. For the adventurous guests, the lodge offers the unique experience of an outdoor shower, hidden among the branches of a tree. The chalets are not only furnished with a spacious sleeping and living area but also feature a comfortable ensuite bathroom, all designed with attention to detail and equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a minibar, and a tea and coffee station. For families or larger groups, the family chalets, with an extra bedroom, are an ideal choice.

In the atmospheric restaurant, you can enjoy delicious five-course menus, featuring wonderful flavor combinations and carefully selected wines. When the weather is nice, meals are served outdoors, offering a view of a watering hole popular with roaming wildlife. After dinner, you can end the evening with a glass of red wine around the cozy campfire in our lounge.

Enthusiasts can admire nature from the outdoor deck while enjoying a refreshing drink.

During your stay, you can participate in an adventurous safari through Etosha. Accompanied by a maximum of 6 other guests and guided by an experienced guide, you will embark in an open 4x4 vehicle. This full-day excursion focuses on spotting the 'Big 4 (only the buffalo is missing in Etosha)', as you search for these majestic animals in the breathtaking natural environment. It is a unique opportunity to experience and learn about the flora and fauna of the park up close, including their behavior and habitats.

Guided Walk

During the bush walk, you will receive extensive information about the region's fauna and especially the flora. Discovering the bush on foot, observing antelopes and birds, and gaining insight into the traditional medicinal use of local plants offers a unique experience that cannot be enjoyed from a vehicle.

Etosha Oberland Lodge features a pleasant infinity pool, from which you can overlook the watering hole that is very popular with the wildlife. It is the perfect place to seek cooling off without losing sight of the animals.

The lodge generates its own electricity and hot water through solar energy systems, except on cloudy days or during technical failures. This sustainable approach underscores their commitment to eco-friendly tourism and minimizing our ecological footprint.

The lodge is supplied with locally produced vegetables, herbs, and certain meat products. This practice not only ensures the freshness and quality of the food for guests but also supports the local economy. The local community benefits from the employment opportunities provided within the nature reserves and organic farming.

Additionally, the firewood used in the lodge is obtained through thinning of the nature reserves. This method not only contributes to the management of these areas but also ensures a responsible use of natural resources.
