This is the extraordinary Bay of Many Coves, where the beauty of the surrounding nature and personalized service are at the forefront. The experience begins with a water taxi boat ride through the enchanting waterscapes of the Marlborough Sounds to the lodge. After a warm welcome, you can settle into your room and enjoy the view from your terrace, listening to the birds singing around you and taking in the breathtaking scenery of the bay. You can swim a few laps in the heated outdoor pool or cool off in the waters of the bay from one of the beaches. Alternatively, venture into the natural surroundings to experience it to the fullest. In the evening, indulge in exquisite dishes prepared in the restaurants, followed by a relaxing drink. Back in your room, you can sit on your balcony and marvel at the night sky—a canvas filled with stars.

Your stay
The lodge offers apartments with 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms, as well as the exclusive Kereru Suite. All have breathtaking views over the bay. They are sleekly designed and warmly furnished with plenty of wood, perfectly matching the natural surroundings. Both the bedroom and the separate living room feature large windows, allowing you to enjoy the scenery to the fullest. The living room provides access to a lovely balcony. The bathrooms are equipped with a shower. For an even more special stay, choose the Kereru Suite. This suite has private access, an extra spacious balcony with a Jacuzzi, and two bedrooms.

The Luxury Apartments are all identical. The only difference lies in the number of bedrooms. Each apartment features a separate living room with an adjoining balcony, a kitchenette, TV, and free Wi-Fi. Each bedroom has a king-size bed or two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Except in the Luxury Three Bedroom Apartment, which has only two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. The bathroom products are made from natural New Zealand ingredients. The Luxury Two Bedroom Apartment also includes a private washing machine as an additional amenity.
The Kereru Suite has private access and a separate living room with a fireplace. The spacious balcony offers a jacuzzi and loungers. The stocked minibar is included in the room rate here.

Experience nature to the fullest during a walk. From the lodge, there are several hikes available in the private bush. Or walk a part of the Queen Charlotte Track and be picked up again by boat. In the Marlborough Sounds, many marine animals can be seen, such as seals, dolphins, and occasionally orcas and whales. The lodge is happy to arrange a boat trip through the sounds to hopefully see these animals up close. Additionally, the lodge offers sea kayaking, SUP boards, and various routes you can paddle, possibly including a picnic lunch. A special activity you can undertake after dinner: follow the signs and walk into the nature to discover glowworms in the bush. The Marlborough Sounds are also known for their excellent wines, so of course, the lodge can book wine tours for you. They can also arrange a sailing trip.

There are no roads leading to this lodge. From Picton, you can take a shared water taxi through a stunning water landscape to the lodge in about half an hour. The lodge is also accessible by helicopter from Picton or Blenheim. Additionally, it can be reached from the famous Queen Charlotte Track, approximately a two-hour walk from this trail.
Sustainability
This lodge and the surrounding nature go hand in hand, so sustainability is also very important. They do a lot of recycling. For example, glass is recycled into a raw material for concrete through a local company, all food waste is composted, and used water is purified for reuse.
