Amanjiwo

Borobudur, Java

Exclusive resort with a view of Borobudur

The unique Amanjiwo, which means peaceful soul, overlooks Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist monument. It is wonderfully peaceful, nestled in the rural area of Central Java. To the rear, there is a stunning backdrop of the Menoreh Hills, and in front, views over the Kedu plain extending to four volcanoes on the horizon. The resort’s architecture on various levels is clearly inspired by Borobudur.

The exclusive Amanjiwo has only 33 suites, of which about half feature a private pool. Choose from a suite with views of the rice fields or of Borobudur. The beautiful infinity pool, surrounded by lush rice fields and offering a view of Borobudur, invites you to enjoy a few laps. It’s not only delightful dining in the resort’s restaurants, but both also provide fantastic views of Borobudur.

Amanjiwo is renowned for the extraordinary experiences they can organize for their guests. Besides a visit to Borobudur, they are eager to introduce you to the local culture and nature in the surroundings.

Your Stay

The spacious suites are spread out in two semicircles within the resort's garden, all offering views of the surrounding rice terraces or the Borobudur. The suites feature a stupa-shaped roof, high ceilings, and glass sliding doors that lead to the terrace. There is ample space to relax, not only in the luxurious king-size bed but also in the covered lounge area or on the loungers on the terrace. Of course, you can also enjoy the sunken bathtub located outdoors.

In addition to the 'regular' suites, there are the pool suites, where you will find a 6-meter-long pool on the terrace. The Dalem Jiwo Suite is the largest suite, with two bedrooms, a private entrance, and a 15-meter-long pool. Additionally, you will have your own butler at your service here.
