Your Stay
The &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas offers 9 luxurious ensuite safari tents that are intimate and beautifully decorated. Inside the tent, there is a double bed with a comfortable duvet and a seating area where you can relax and unwind. Each tent features an ensuite bathroom with a traditional heated 'bucket-style' outdoor shower, a washbasin, and a separate toilet. In front of the tent, you have your own terrace where you can sit and enjoy the peace and the view.

Olduvai Gorge & Shifting Sands
From Ndutu, you will set out to explore the breathtaking surroundings of the archaeological site Olduvai Gorge, often referred to as the cradle of humanity. Here, the oldest remains of Homo Sapiens have been discovered. Afterwards, you will travel to the dunes of volcanic ash known as the Shifting Sands, or ‘shifting sand,’ because they are slowly moving across the dry landscape, pushed by the wind.
Lake Victoria Tour
From Grumeti, you will spend a day exploring Lake Victoria and its surroundings. You will visit a primary school (if open), go on a fishing safari in a traditional canoe, visit a traditional healer, and enjoy a variety of landscapes.

Within the camp, there are 9 luxurious ensuite safari tents of 35 m², each furnished very comfortably with carpeting, a double bed, and a seating area. The windows are fitted with mesh screens, preventing mosquitoes from entering. There is Wi-Fi, a minibar, and a safe in the tent. An extra bed is not possible. The ensuite bathroom features a 'bucket-style' outdoor shower, sink, and toilet.
There is also 1 Family tent, which consists of two tents connected by a corridor. The tent for the parents has a double bed and is identical to the other tents. The children’s tent is slightly smaller and does not have a seating area. Both tents have their own terrace with a seating area and an ensuite bathroom with a heated outdoor shower and toilet.
Restaurants
The &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas is a small-scale, mobile camp and therefore has no permanent restaurant or bar. Meals are prepared in an open kitchen. There is a tent where you can sit in shelter, or your butler will ensure that your table is set up in the perfect spot for you. He can also arrange a romantic dinner for two at your tent.
Activities
During your stay at &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas, game drives are included. These can be one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with a return to the camp in between for lunch. Alternatively, there can be a full-day game drive, during which you will receive a picnic lunch. During the game drive, you have the chance to spot large herds of elephants and, of course, the Big 5. And all of this takes place in their natural, untouched environment.
Depending on the location of the camp, additional excursions can be booked. If the camp is situated in Ndutu, in the southern Serengeti, you can book the Olduvai Gorge & Shifting Sands tour. If the camp is in Grumeti, in the west, it is possible to add a day tour to Lake Victoria. These must be booked in advance.

The Great Migration follows a fixed route, and five times a year the camp moves along with this route. This way, you get as close as possible to the enormous herds of wildebeest, and the Big 5 are also within reach in the Serengeti.
