Tarangire Treetops

Tarangire Treetops is a small-scale lodge with 20 suites. All suites are built on a platform on stilts, surrounding a baobab tree. With 62 m2, the suites offer plenty of space, including the 12 m2 terrace. The front of the suite can be fully opened, or screened with mosquito netting if desired. This allows you to enjoy the fantastic views and the sounds of wildlife around you from inside. The en-suite bathroom features an exotic double shower.

Your stay can be booked on a full-board or all-inclusive basis. Full-board includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as water, soft drinks, coffee, and tea, local beer, house wines, and selected spirits. Laundry service is also included. If you choose all-inclusive, the above are included, along with daytime and evening game drives, guided walking safaris with a ranger, bush sundowners, and transfers to and from the airstrip if you arrive by domestic flight. Please note: all game drives are conducted in international groups. Private game drives are not included. For both full-board and all-inclusive, park fees and tourist taxes are not included.

The main building features a cozy dining room where you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the lounge, you can order drinks throughout the day. Additionally, you have the option to enjoy your meals in your own suite or at a special location.

The lodge does not have a spa, but it offers excellent massages.

You have numerous opportunities to go on safari from the Tarangire Treetops. Take a game drive in the Tarangire National Park to spot elephants, giraffes, and lions. But especially the lodge's location in the Randilen private concession offers unique possibilities. In the evening, it is possible to go on a game drive in the immediate vicinity of the lodge and witness the nocturnal bush come alive. With an experienced ranger by your side, you will see a very different array of wildlife than you have seen before. Another unique experience that the Randilen WMA offers is a walking safari. An experienced ranger will take you out and show you not only the fauna but also tell you a lot about the flora of this area. He can also share many insights about the traditional inhabitants of this region.

But there is much more to do than safaris. You can visit a Maasai village to learn more about their way of life and traditions. Or enjoy a dinner under the twinkling stars in a traditional Maasai boma, accompanied by a Maasai dance performance.

It may sound simple, but it is truly worth adding to your experience: cocktails at sunset, also known as sundowners. In a special location, a cozy seating area is set up, and you can enjoy a delicious drink and snack while watching a beautiful sunset. Also very special: a bush breakfast or lunch, where you can indulge in a delicious meal at an exclusive spot in the park.

The lodge also offers fun activities for children. Customized bush walks are organized, they can participate in a 'warrior' training, learn more about the baobab tree, or enjoy roasting marshmallows over a campfire.

Tarangire Treetops is located in the heart of the Randilen Wildlife Management Area, managed by the Honeyguide Foundation. The lodge significantly contributes to various projects aimed at conserving and protecting the area's flora and fauna. The local communities in this area learn to coexist sustainably with the wildlife. Additionally, they receive support in protecting their crops and livestock, along with access to education and healthcare clinics. Furthermore, they receive a portion of the income from Randilen, helping them appreciate the value of preserving this area. The lodge is also actively working to further develop sustainable tourism, both within the lodge and in the natural surroundings.
